Prishtina Pride 2026 officially opens with a ceremony that brings together institutional representatives, international partners, civil society organisations, and community members to reaffirm the importance of equality, dignity, and the rights of LGBTIQ+ people in Kosovo.
This opening marks the beginning of a week of events which, under the motto “Equality or Revolt!”, centres demands for recognition, safety, and full participation in public life. Through opening remarks and the presence of institutions and allies, the ceremony aims to emphasise that human rights cannot wait, and that equality requires clear, ongoing, and public commitment.
