Anatomy of Silence is a two-performer performance piece that exposes how the institutional refusal to provide sexual education turns silence into a weapon, transforming natural human curiosity into internalised shame and interpersonal tension. The work treats the human body as a living archive of social taboos.
Following a physical trajectory that begins with innocent, unburdened self-exploration in childhood, moves through the rigid censorship of the school system, and culminates in the fractured intimacy of adulthood, the piece reflects the psychological and physical cost of denied knowledge. Through a minimalist landscape of chairs and chalk, the performers illustrate how a systemic gap in the school curriculum mutates into tangible trauma in adults.
In the end, the piece rejects the distance of the stage. By dissolving the boundary between performers and audience, Anatomy of Silence becomes a collective mirror—a confrontation with a shared silence across generations, belonging to everyone in the room.
